Human Centred Designer, Speaker, Aspiring Filmmaker, Founder at Design Says Hello.

Ziqq Rafit is a human-centred designer, speaker, aspiring filmmaker and founder of ‘Design Says Hello’ – a movement that is geared towards advocating Design as a catalyst for social change. In his professional career as a Designer designing both physical and digital experiences -  his works cut across projects related to transport, food and hospitality, fintech, healthcare, to strategy and design. 

Ziqq's love for Design extends beyond his community. ‘Design Says Hello' is a testament of his work to push the conversation of Design in Singapore and beyond through films, education and community engagement. He is a regular speaker and panelist at events from schools to conferences worldwide and has been featured in numerous articles, papers, and mainstream media.

In recognition of his efforts and potential in the creative industry, he was awarded with the prestigious Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong’s Distinction Award 2014. His professional works was awarded the Singapore Good Design Mark Award in 2014 and received a nomination for the esteem President’s Design Award 2015. He was also accepted as a Fellow into Forbes 2018 Fellowship Program. In 2019, he was awarded with a full-ride DesignSingapore Council Scholarship and joined the ranks of 57 other Design scholars in Singapore.

More recently, he graduated with a double masters (MA/MSc) in Global Innovation Design at both Royal College of Art and Imperial College, London - where his works focused on design and tech ethics.

As the former President of DesignSingapore Associates Network (2021-2023) he now sits on the Board of Advisors.
